Yea, these people dont get it.. Pit's were bred to fight other dogs, but German shepherds were bred to guard? sheep from predators like wolves and lynx! My neighbors Pitbull came on my farmland about a year ago, and my German shepherd dominated it very quickly! The pit never came back again since. German shepherds are a superior dog, it's that simple!

If the pits best argument toward being a better then the GSD is it can kill some in a controlled fighting ring then that don't say much about the breeds intelligence or other things that? are more important. a few months before graduating i lost my best friend, a german shepherd named Max....i'll never forget him...it's been 8 years since he died. it still hurts to this day. we had him for 12 years, and every morning before going to school i made sure to say bye to him, i'd even go to the basement when he couldn't walk up the stairs so say it and the morning he died was the first time i didn't say bye to him. i still miss him? so much. Dogs are such an amazing animal to have around children

He's a German Shepherd, they get "beaten" with rubber and? clattersticks in Schutzhund and endure all sorts of physical stress when doing agility and bite excercises. Now I understand why my puppy is like this. Too late now. I had a working line before. And my 2nd one that I just got is from the show line. I much prefer the working line but it is too late now. I wish my breeder had educated me and warned me before I buy but of course not. The breeder was so proud of the line and at first I have no idea what is the implication. Now I understand. If I ever get another? one I will insist on working line.

if he cared about the breed he wouldn't even judge the trial. Sure a good trainer can put a SchH3 on a dog.....that doesn't mean it's a good dog. Money talks, and I've talked to others who know of dogs titles being paid for, judges being paid extra, etc. If I can find the video i mentioned earlier I'll link you to it. The dogs were all Schutzhund 3 titled, and the helper literally had to? walk towards most dogs so they wouldn't run off the field.

How would you know that? It's kinda hard not to choose a crappy looking dog when they are ALL crappy looking. He's not necessarily deeming them good for the breed, he picked the best one out of a group. As far as Schutzhund, a good trainer can? put a Sch3 on a mediocre dog. There are better sports out there that mean much more, like ring sport. I can't see one of these dogs getting a FR3 or MR3 even if they lived 100 years.

The judge knows how to fill? up his wallet. He couldn't care less about the breed, and honestly...I'm willing to bet he knows it's wrong to breed them like this, he just wants money. It's so unfortunate what judges like him and others even in America are deeming good for the breed. Aside from that, show dogs who somehow have Schutzhund 3 titles, have videos up of them literally running off the field if actually ran towards during protection. You have me in tears. Because i to had a German Shepard when i was a little kid. She was a German Shepard/Collie mix. Her name was Shelby. She was the most beautiful dog you could ever imagine. i? had her for about 8 years. Untill i had to give her up. Because we had to move to Los Angeles. And our new landlord sucked. I just adopted my 2nd GSD from the rescue league here in Arizona. The people who abandoned her cut? her vocal cords out and left her weighing only 33 lbs. @ savvas7179 not sure you would actually want to do that as a growl is a warning signal which lets you know that a dog is uncomfortable, afraid, nervous etc. But you would usually teach a behaviour eg bark by waiting for an unprompted bark then? clicking and treating . After several repetitions you then add the cue. Speak . If you get the bark then click treat if not then you have gone too fast and need to click treat a few more unprompted barks.

My sister has a GS too... it is a little taller than those and with short fur... TIP: this kind of dog require attention and not.. DO NOT do like my? sister... let him play arround... when he is young he might injure himself(kinda crazy dog) a..and they are damn facking loyal.. he jumped in front of the car while i was trying to tkae my sister to railstation... I heard him crying from more than 300 metres(in my car with closed windows).. this dog is a very inteligent one....
