@LordOrlock Macross 7 is? pretty difficult to get, to be honest. Most people just focus on the fact that the enemies fold in, steal spiritia, fold out, Basara tries to sing and fails. Rinse and Repeat. If that's all you see then...well, don't even bother trying to understand why M7 is so damn good. It has some incredibly subtle and clever plot points in it and is a character driven show, which means it doesn't try to match against SDF's apocalypse scenario (very wise for a sequel).

All Macross TV series have the same plot. Aliens attack, Macross defends. Add in some crappy love triangle and there you go. I love love triangles, but Minmei was just too selfish in SDF. 7's "love triangle" was mostly one? sided love of Gamlin x Mylene and Mylene x Nekki, but it was still better than others. Besides, just like SDF was unique as Top Gun in space, 7 was unique with the guitar controls and singing during fights which boosts the morale and harms the enemy.

Funny, I enjoyed 7 more than Frontier and SDF.Not saying that SDF is bad, just? that 7 is IMO more enjoyable. The music is pretty good. I kinda don't like Minmei's music. Nekki Basara (Yoshiki Fukuyama) has better songs. Planet Dance ftw

I`ve watched Zero and to be honest the ending wasn`t disappointing? but left a lot to be desired: the beginning as cool (Those Dog Fights were like the good old days!), but the ending gav me te impression to be a rip off of Evangelion, even I`m not a fan of this series.

I wouldnt go as far to say he screwed the series. I really enjoyed Frontier. It wasnt as good as SDF Macross before, but I really enjoyed Frontier, and the music was good, but it was, of course, nowhere near as good as? the original. Zero was entertaining for a really short tie in movie, plus was watchable yet vacuous, and 7 sucked incredibly. Do NOT watch it... Please Q_Q

Unfortunately the Logitech Dual Game Pad controller does not work correctly with this game. It will? control the airplane's direction, but the buttons do not work. No boost, fire, etc. No way to configure it in the menu either. Sorry, I had to uninstall the Demo.

To call them "sportsmen" is going a bit too far I think, unless you call it a sport to hunt for human beings with machine guns. They had parachutes back then. Very few pilots wore them and they were unreliable. So it was a case of being crunched up in an already tight cockpit and loosing flexibilty with the stick and your guns, or go all out and don't get shot down in the clouds! Of course even the Red Baron was shot down and crash landed, so that was the option. WW1 pilots were sportsman. Something few of us can understand. The Baron let enemies go if there gun was jammed a lot of times. ? I know the German's did.

The problem with comparing Migs to NATO fighters is that they have mock dogfights where 1 Mig-21 fights 1 F-15. In? a 1 vs. 1 engagement, the F-15 will probably win. The problem is in a real war there will be very few 1 on 1 fights. Most fights will be 3 on 3 or 6 on 6. In this kind of a confusing battle, some NATO fighters will go down...

Mig-21 is an interceptor not dogfighter because it has short and small delta wing. Back in the 50s the USA and Russian aways trying out do each other to see who can go faster, higher. All of that had been dominate by the USAF F-15 Eagle, well until the arrival of the Su-27. Most countries AF are force? to dogfight using Mig-21 because that all they can afford, e.g Vietnam (excluding Su-27, Su-30 Mk2) , Serbia, Iraq, Egypt and much more to list.

MiG21 was made 50 years ago and it was build like INTERCEPTOR. In that time 90% of interceptors had delta wing from difference from dogfighter which had swept wing which is excelent for manuvering but? delta wing is stable at high speeds and altitudes but not for maneuvering. Go on faking google a search for its specifications --> max speed, rate of climb, power of engine and all of these prove that mig 21 is truly interceptor. Missile dont make plane as interceptor or fighter.

@GPNflyman1 the fw-190 has more agility than the 51... the 51only can be better than the 51 at high altitude(obiusly the 51 was very great at high altitude) but the 190 was the owner of the sky between the 5000 and 1000 mts strong armament, great shield, great visibility(not betther than te 51, but very great) the 190 have a? lot of things better than the 51... rembember that the 190 had a BMW 801 D and the 51 a Packard Merlin ... the packard merlin was a great engine..(i think one of the best)

UPDATE 26/10/10 Chaps, I've had some reports that a patch has fixed the control issues. I'll have to re-download it to verify but if it's true, that should take away one of the few problems with Dogfighter. I'll post an update once I've established the difference made by the patches... A review of the PC game from Dark Water Studios released in June 2010.

No. No I don't. I call it a "multiplayer dogfighting game" and say that the flight model is "pretty damn good". So, Mr Passive Agressive, don't put words in my mouth. I do consider this a flight sim, as it happens. Why? Because you fly planes. That's what a flight sim is, as far as I know. It's not Microsoft Flight Simulator but last time I checked, Mario Kart was not a Colin? McrRae game and we were still allowed to class it as a racing game.

I used both foam mounting tape and a zip tie for each servo mount. Clean the coro surface with acetone before applying the double-sided foam tape.? Used this mounting method on a few SPADs. Works fine.

Figure 1oz volume of fuel weighs roughly 1oz(based on water volume vs weight) so figure 3lbs 11oz wet(with fuel). My downspout was heavy(11oz) and I shaved 8 oz(if I recall correctly) going with a coroplast fuselage. Look to shave some weight there. The Canadian downspout is much lighter than the? American downspout but the coroplast fuselage is even lighter. Good luck!

just completed my dogfighter it was at 4lbs. was using 4mil/2mil wing , american downspout with an evo .36 Not sure but i think im still heavier than you with gas. and your using 6mil. i dont get it i dont think the downspout could? make that much of difference , and i think my engine is only 3oz more if im not mistaken. i put an 8oz tank in though. what do you weigh with gas?

Iam currently building a dogfighter spad. i would like it to be electric. I dont have a whole lot of experience flying yet, but i have been flying some foamy elevon/delta mixing type jets and a brushless cub with ailerons. what could i expect from an electric dogfighter? Hey JETS4 - you can use 4mil however you? might have trouble with it curving over the top of the spar and keeping the bottom flat at the same time. You could add some light scores to the inside of the wing top to help it flex.

I did some research and it appears that Fokker Dr. 1 had all moveable vertical stabilizer compared to other planes? which had to use separate rudder to turn. Also many planes of that era, including Dr. 1 had rotary engine where the whole piston block rotated to right pulling the plane to right, Voss may have used this force as advantage when making tight turns.

Really cool show but they needed to make an episode about the dogfights of the Eastern Front. Those dogfights, to me, where among the greatest ever and probably the craziest. Moving as fast? as the western ones at altitudes almost always under 10,000 feet and often under 5,000 feet.

Voss was capable to do these type of turns? because the vertical stabilizer of the Dr.1 it's all-moveable... all the others have a rigid vertical stabilizer and the final part of it's a rudder to yaw and makes it impossible to do
